The UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation (UHCCF) has learned that parents who have children with special medical needs can sometimes be overwhelmed by medical terminology, treatment decisions and health care provider visits. In times like these, support from extended family and friends can be essential. Confronted with this difficult journey, families want to keep concerned friends and extended family members updated on their progress, but can become emotionally exhausted in the process.

Now, there is an easier way. UHCCF has partnered with CaringBridge, a non-profit organization that provides free web sites that connect families experiencing a significant health challenge to their friends and extended family members, making each health journey easier. A CaringBridge web site can help centralize communication, save time and emotional energy.
